Located just off I-17 only fifty minutes north of Phoenix and 30 minutes from Prescott, lie the communities of Mayer, Cordes Lakes, Spring Valley and Poland Junction which together comprise the Mayer Unified School District. Located almost in the geographic center of Arizona this area ranges in elevation from 3800 to 4500 feet. Our summer days are warm but the nights are cool. We are at the edge of the snow line where we can sometimes experience some snow fall. Also common to the Mayer communities is the natural beauty of the rolling hills and surrounding mountains. The elevation in the Mayer area varies slightly, with Cordes Lakes at 3500 feet, Spring Valley at 3800 feet, Mayer at 4300 feet and Poland Junction at 4800 feet. Spend a while here and enjoy our beautiful sunrises and sunsets, cool summer nights and sunny winter days, surrounded by open space, yet close to great shopping, restaurants and easy access to the larger cities of Prescott, Phoenix and Flagstaff. There is more than meets the eye to Mayer; it is a place of mystery, hope, and good weather. You have to experience it for yourself!
